Manual setting on Epson 4870

I have some difficulties with my (rather new) 4870 and using Epson Scan,
hoping someone on the list is able to help me.
I scan negative film of 60 x 60mm cut into slices with three. I put them
info one of the negative holders which should be able to scan two of
them in each row. But the automatic size system fools me. Some of the
pictures are cut, especially pictures which are very light. I have tried
to override it, but no success. Is there any way to lock the scanner
into my size, and none automatic size finding?
I have read some of the help-text, but can't find (understand) if it's
possible. Help?

Yes. The Auto Thumbnail feature is for 35mm and not Medium Format.
Go to the Professional Mode
By the Preview Button click on the little arrow
Select Normal
Select the correct parameters in the EPSON Scan window (film type,
light source etc)
Now you can draw your own multiple marquees, (NB Please note that the
selections in the EPSON Scan window will only apply to the selected
marquee. It is possible to select All but some features will be
disabled such as scaling, these features need to be set individually.
Simply click on an image to select it)
When you have the common settings for your image you can save these
settings. This includes the marquees
