Manual Restore for XP home edition

I once found a web page that gave instuctions on how to do a manual factory
restore to my computer. The other options that I had found was for XP Pro,
which has the factory restore option in the system tool bar. I need to redo
the factory restore, so if you know how to do it or where I need to go to get
the step-by-step instuctions, I'd be so grateful.

The procedure for restoring your computer to the way it was when it left the
factory varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Contact the manufacturer
of your computer to find instructions specific to your make and model of
computer.

Thats true also. But where I found it the first time was in a Micrsoft Help
site. It gave instuctions for XP Pro and XP Home. It was a step by step
description and you have to do it at windows start up. If I can get the first
step, then the rest I can manage on my own because it is pretty self
explainitory. But I have no idea as to what to type in when windows safe mode
page, in start up. displays. Thanks for your reply Ted, all help is greatly
appreciated.
