manual archive problems

Hi all. I have noticed a strange thing about archiving email messages in
outlook 2003. I have an email message dated 3mar2005 but i can only archive
it if i specify to archive items older than 9mar2005 and beyond. If i
specified to archive items older than 8 to 4 mar2005 my 3mar2005 message
would not be archived. Why is it so?

I think archiving is based on the modification date of an item. You might
have 'touched' that item somewhere between 3/4 & 3/8
