Mandatory User Profiles

I am attempting to create mandatory user profiles. As I
understand the documentation, all I have to do is to
rename the ntuser.dat file to ntuser.man. Then changes
the user makes to his profile will not be saved. When I
change the ntuser.dat file to .man, and the user logs
off, an new ntuser.dat file is created in his profile
folder. The ntuser.man file remains. The settings he
changed to are saved. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in
advance.

Change it AFTER he logs off -- for the next logon.

Usually you build the ntuser.dat, rename to .man so
the issue of the prior file being saved doesn't occur.

Also make sure you only give the path to the file's
directory, and do not include the file name in the
user's account property sheet.

It gets recognized on NEXT logon. It's a silly system
left over from years ago (circa 1990) -- today it should
be a "check box" on the users' properties.
