Dear all,

I am testing how a mandatory profile works and ased on
that I get some trouble.

First of all I have configured a roaming profile for an
authanticated user by configuraing it in Active directory
users with profile tab setting as :

Profile : \\myServer\myshare\%USERNAME%

where myshare is a share folder created in AD users ->New
share folder and pointing to the place where I store
settings.
This work really well

then for testing mandatory profile I just change profile
tab to be :
Profile : \\myServer\myshare\%USERNAME%.man

AT that time I am not able to log anymore to my profile
saying that I do not have suficcent rights.
My user profile belongs to administrator groups on my
server

What did I miss here, where should I saet more rights and
which one?

Thanks for your reply
Serge

That won't do it -- as you found out.

Instead:
Rename the NTUser.dat to NTUser.Man
(for a 'real' mandatory profile you would presumably first configure
the mandatory settings.)
AT that time I am not able to log anymore to my profile
saying that I do not have suficcent rights.

There is likely NO DIRECTORY named "username.man"

Note: You can also rename the DIRECTORY (and match the profile
location) to do a "super enforce" (at least this worked that way in NT.)

Also be aware that almost everyone is moving away from Mandatory
profiles towards Group Policy.
