Mandatory Profile for All Users

I have looked into creating a mandatory profile for my lab computers. I
followed the directions for making the profile local, since I find this much
easier than setting up a share and all that jazz by using this article:
http://www.tweakxp.com/article139898.aspx

This works great if I only had one or two users, then I could manually
assign them their profile. However, I have hundreds of users and machines,
and would like them all to use the mandatory profile. The users are set up
in an access control list and this list is then put into the users
group...therefore I don't see individual users on the local computer, and
can't assign them to the mandatory profile.

Is there a way to make everybody who logs onto the computer automatically
draw from the mandatory profile when their profiles are created? Should I
just change the default users\ntuser.dat to .man, or is there a way to
specify what profile users draw from when they first log on?

Thanks,

If you are using active directory, you can open the properties of the user in
active directory and select the profile tab. You can then point to a UNC path
on a server share for the .MAN profile. All users that are configured in this
fashion will pull the profile from the server share.. Note: You can select
multiple users and configure this all in one shot!

We are using active directory....however, users have access to other labs
outside of our reach, and I don't want them to have their other profile
location changed...I would prefer having a 'local' setting if that's possible?

Set up a profile for a user just the way you want it and then copy the
profile to the default profile. Everyone who logs in will have the same
profile.
