Can u manage windows XP SP2 from a windows 2000 server using group polices?
if so how? Would I need a 2003 Server??

Thanks

Yes you can. The easiest way is to logon to a XP computer running SP2.
Open your MMC and add the Group Policy Snap-In. This will require you to
browse for a GPO to open. Find the one in Active Diretory that you want to
manage your XP SP2 workstations. This will update the Administrative
Template in that GPO in AD to manage XP SP2 computers.

On the server, you need to install the hotfix mentioned in this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;842933

After the hotfix is installed, you will then be able to manage the GPO from
the 2000 Server.
