Managed DirectX on XPe

Hi,

I tried to install the latest DX SDK redist on my XP Embedded system,
but the installer simply finishes without copying any files.

The .NET 2.0 framework is present on my image, and I removed the
DirectX 9.0c too, to ensure a clean DX install. I also tried without
..NET 2.0 and instead the .NET 1.1 component. Same result.

The directx logfile in c:\windows shows quite some errors about files
and directories that can't be found, without showing the filenames or
paths. Normally I would expect "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\DirectX For
Managed Code" to exist, but the folder isn't there.

Am I missing some components maybe ? Some components that DX depends
on ?

Any idea's are welcome,

It's been my experience that on XP SP2 whether it's XPe or XPPro, trying
to install DirectX 9.0c *doesn't* do anything. At all. Even when I
sabotaged my directX on purpose.
