Managed ActiveSync Service Provider

I was wondering whether it is possible in CF2 to write a fully managed
ActiveSync Service Provider for both desktop and device?

I do fear it is not possible to develop a COM server in managed code
or am I wrong?

Here http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/kfzsfkz3.aspx (Exposing
..NET Compact Framework Components to COM) that it is possible to
expose a managed Com interface but the interface has to be marshalled
to the native code.

So in the light of the Activesync service provider is not possible to
directly use a managed com server.

Right?
