Manage Windows Server 2003 from Windows 2000?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use MMC from a Windows 2000 computer to
connect to a Windows 2003 Server and then look at the Event Log or browse
System Information?

I tried it with two computers in a workgroup, MMC asked for my remote
Administrator user and password, and then the tree view appears on screen,
but as soon as I click on anything it says "Access Denied".

I can use command line WMI against the same machine without any problems,
but MMC won't work...

The simplest and most flexible way would be to start the
Terminal Server service on the server, then use the Remote
Desktop client on the Win2000 PC to run a session on the
server. You can download it from here:

Thanks Pegasus,

Are you therefore saying it's impossible to manage 2003 from a 2000 MMC
console?

I haven't spent the time trying after I found that Remote
Desktop was far superior.
