Tools - Trust Center - Add-ins.

Been to Tools - Trust Center - Add ins
you can only look at them there is no way to uninstall...
in fact the McAfee add-in that Outlook said it shut off isn't even listed.
The scanmail.dll that outlook is looking for had been deleted, how do I tell
outlook to quit looking for it?

So the DLL is not listed there at all in the Location column?

To uninstall them, you just select the Add in type down at the bottom where
it says 'Manage' and click the Go button.

I looked, it is not there. It is not anywhere in the Trust Center that I can
find. Here is the exact message that I am getting: The Add-in “Exchange Scanâ€
(C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\scanemal.dll) cannot be loaded
and has been disabled by Outlook. Please contact the Add-in Manufacturer for
an update. If no update is available, please uninstall the Add-in.

Still can't figure out how to uninstall the add-in.

It is not in the Trust Center anywhere, I have looked multiple times. I found
extend.dat and deleted it. Didn't help. Here is the exact message that I am
getting: The Add-in “Exchange Scan†(C:\Program Files\Network
Associates\VirusScan\scanemal.dll) cannot be loaded and has been disabled by
Outlook. Please contact the Add-in Manufacturer for an update. If no update
is available, please uninstall the Add-in.

Can't get outlook to quit looking for McAfee. I got on the MaAfee web site
and downloaded their tool to uninstall. Don't know if that makes any
difference.

Ok, lets try this:

Tools - Trust Center - Add-ins.
Under Manage, select COM Add-ins and click Go.
On the list, do you see something labeled 'Exchange Scan'?

Not an exchange scan. Here is what is checked off as active; Microsoft
Exchange Unified Messaging - Microsoft SharePoint Server Colleague Import
add-in - Microsoft VBA for Outlook add-in - Windows Search Email Indexer.

Well, when you click Go, what is *unchecked*. Considering it isn't loading,
I wouldn't expect it to be checked.

That was it, I took the check mark off of "exchange scan" and I am no longer
getting the error message. Thank you very much.
