Did you yet read its forum posts? Until it really is out of beta
(despite them saying it is), go with Microsoft's EMET (Enhanced
Mitigation Experience Toolkit). Neither one is an absolute panacea but
just another protection layer. At this level of protection, it is
stupid to make a dumbed down UI and let the product make the decisions,
as does MBAE.

I would suggest doing an online search on "enhanced mitigation
experience toolkit" or "microsoft EMET" before deciding to use it.
After all, if you don't understand the prompts and the protections
afforded by the product then how are you going to configure and use it?
Spend some time to research for yourself these products so /YOU/ know
how to use them before installing them.

Try a review.

The author of that article, says it's hard
to test that such tools work.

I think something that concentrates on browsers
is a good thing.

And it doesn't seem to overlap with CryptoPrevent
(which attempts to block CryptoLocker by using
software restrict policies).

Oops, I see Microsoft pulled Windows XP support from EMET, so it's not
an option for that OS. MBAE still lists Windows XP as supported.

EMET 4.1 may be still used with XP.

But EMET 5.0 specifically improved to block vulnerabilities shown for
4.1, and earlier; however, that's probably the case for each new version
of any security software.

EMET and MBAE are fairly invasive and cause working programs to stop
working. So while you get an added layer of security, you also get
added problems. Looks at the reviews and support forums to get a handle
on the problems these cause to decide if you want to take the risk and
perhaps suffer the nuisances.
