Malicious File

Norton Anti-Virus keeps telling me I have a malicious
script, C:\Windows\system32\-embedded.

Wants to me "stop" it, or "run just once", does not give
me the chance to delete it.

I found a "embed.dll" file in \system32 but hesitate to
delete it.

Second problem: the "update" button keeps telling me to
download all sorts of security patches for XP, so I click
on them and nothing downloads.

Can anyone help?

Hardly in this group.

This NG is for Windows XP Embedded.

Try other groups that deal with antivirus programs, or go to Symantec site
and look for info.
