it seems as if my dial-up connections has been invaded by
a malicious code. Here is what happens:
every once in a while, the default connection is attacked
and the "phone number" setting is changed into a new set
of weird numbers and a new usernames and passwords are
created for that new dialup number. meanwhile, a new dial-
up connection with the name "Old_Default" is created, but
it does not work.
I have tried deleting the old connections and creating
new default connections, but the bug simply reattacks new
connections that has been set up. I've tried virus and
spyware scan, and both turned up nothing. I've also tried
re-upgrading windows xp and it did not work.
Any ideas? please help, its quite urgent. thank you
