Hi all,
-- I want to make a folder private
under sharing and Security, but the wording and tick box are greyed out..
How can I make folders Private to stop another user from gaining access
please?

Also I have an administrator and another user setup and I want to limit
access to certain programmes and also files.
Thanks for any help

You Cannot Select the "Make This Folder Private" Option:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307286

If you have NTFS:
Set, View, Change, or Remove File and Folder Permissions in Windows XP

If you are running XP Pro, go to Control Panel - Folder Options - View,
uncheck 'use Simple File Sharing'. and Apply. (and you must have the
folder on an NTFS disk)

If you are using Home you only get simple sharing, which restricts the
folders in each user's Documents and Settings to that user only, but no
more
