making an internet connection on xp pro

Hi

I'm trying to make a dial up connection on one of our
clients computer. I goto internet connection, setup
manually, then it only gives me the option to connect on
broadband when i want the top option which is connect
using a dial up modem, also the option to dial up to our
vpn is greyed out aswell

the machine actually HAS a modem installed?

yeh its built in, its a notebook, its running and whatever
on device manager ive queried it and its responding.
