I have no idea how to make a boot disc but my mom needs one for her computer,
My boyfriend has XP but I have vista and I am trying to create one from his
computer but I am unsure how. Can anyone Help?

The original Windows XP and Windows Vista CD/DVDs are bootable and contain
all the tools you need to install Windows XP/Vista and/or repair corrupt
installations.

Are you saying your mom has lost her Windows XP CD or Windows Vista DVD?

It depends - what exactly are you trying to achieve with this boot disk?

Because terms such as "boot disk" are sometimes used imprecisely, you
would get better advice if you explained *why* your Mom needs a boot
disk and what operating system she has on her computer. You should also
determine whether your Mom's computer has a floppy disk drive as well as
a CD drive.
