I have just moved a large folder in My Documents to another hard drive as
the disk was nearly full.

I have created a shortcut in My Documents to point to this folder on the
other hard drive.

The problem is, I want the shortcut to be in alphabetical order along with
the other folders in My Documents, but of course it acts like a file and
therefore is listed separately from folders.

Is there any way to do this?

Cheers,

Marty

Instead of moving one folder why not relocate the entire My
Documents folder to the other drive?

To create a shortcut to your new folder which acts like a real folder, do the following:

Open an explorer window to your start menu (right-click the Start button & select 'Open').

Open a second window to the parent of your target folder.

Right-click the target folder & drag it to you Start Menu folder -- release the button & select
"Create Shortcut".

Move the new shortcut to your My Documents folder.
