How do you make it to were downloading software password protected?

i have employees that are installing alot of stuff like yahoo messanger and
games and it needs to come to a stop. please help.

Take names and kick ass.
Email to all employees stating that times are getting lean and mean. Anyone
found with unauthorized crap on there machines will go to the top of the
layoff list

You will get more focused help if you describe the office setup; i.e., XP
Pro or Home, Workgroup or domain.

Put them all in restricted users group.

You will either have to make their accounts limited, or make it to where only administration can add programs into the
system. Either of these should fix your problem. If you need more help setting it up, you will need to provide system
information.
