In Windows XP Home, I want to make C:\temp folder the
one, single default folder for ALL temp files - this
makes it real easy to clean out this single, easy to find
folder routinely. how do I do this??

Goto the Control Panel and open the System applet.
Select the Advanced tab.
Now select the Environment Variables button.
The next screen should show two temp folder locations - TEMP and TMP - in
each of User Variables and System Variables.
Select each one in turn and Edit it's Value to your choice of TEMP folder
location.

You may need to log off to make any changes effective.

Martin.
