Make applications available to all users

I'm building an image to be used across 50 identical laptops. I've installed
all the required software/applications while logged into the image computer
as Admin. However, when I log in as a user very few of these applications are
available to the user.

This should be an easy thing to do - allow all users on a computer to use
all applications on that same computer - yet I can't seem to find any
information on how to do this. Any ideas/suggestions?

Windows XP Pro OEM Installed
Toshiba Satellite Pro A100
Symantec Ghost Suite

Copy the administrator's profile to "C:\document and settings\default
user" so all new user accounts pull from the same profile.

Make sure all icons are in "C:\documents and settings\all users
\desktop"
and that they have rights to read and execute them (just give the Users
group on the local machine rights to the icons).

Seems to be working so far. I haven't administrated since NT - it's a lot
harder to find things in XP Pro - even in classic view.
 
if you are using the administrator account to install applications, they are
automatically avail to all users unless you place restriction on them or
using policy or ntfs.

There are times, some application will install start menu to "c:\documents
and settings\administrators\start menu\programs" instead of "c:\documents
and settings\all users\start menu\programs" . In that case you simply move
from admin to all users.


Be careful in copying profile, it may have undesired ramification esp. form
administrator to other non admin. user
