Hi

The XP CD is bootable - why can't you boot with it ATM? You may need to
change the boot sequence via the BIOS. The manual for your motherboard
should tell you how to access the BIOS and also how to make your cd drive
the first bootable.

All Microsoft Windows XP installation CDs are bootable.
Open your BIOS and set the CD Drive as the first boot
device.

Ray,

The Windows XP CD Rom IS bootable - it IS a bootable CD, so there is no
need to make another.
If your PC is refusing to boot from it then you need to follow the advice
you have been given to set your BIOS to allow you to Boot from CD.

You are saying that your XP Professional CD is not bootable...
Where did you get this copy of XP?

All legitimate WinXP Installation CDs _are_ bootable.

Raynaldo, do you mean that you want to boot load from
CDs the image of a WinXP installation that had been
copied from a hard disk drive? In other words, you don't
want to boot load the installation CD, but you want to boot
load the *finished installation* from CDs, perhaps for use
after a crash of the hard disk drive?
