Hi, i am using windows xp, without service pack 2. I suspect a virus, trojan
or a malicious program is running on my computer.

I cannot access the system config utility, to see what is running at strat up.

When i press CTRL, ALT, DEL, nothing happens. so i cannot see what processes
are currently running.

can anyone advice me what to do.

regards

one virus/worm, the three below being the most common:

W32.Spybot.Worm

Because many of the newer viruses and worms, such as the Spybot
mentioned above, can disable antivirus applications whose definitions
aren't kept up-to-date, try using one or more of the free on-line

Take your computer to someone that knows what they are doing.
