Major issues after new install of XP

Guys

3 year old system made by a UK company called Mesh. Am now in NZ and
their brilliant technical support email help won't accept NZ email
addys so you are my last hope!

Bought and installed a new master HD as the old one was failing. Using
the XP recovery disc that came with the system I installed XP home onto
the new drive. It appears to work fine....

Problems now arise when trying to connect to the internet. On this
current drive ( original one which is failing) it has a lot of NVIDIA
controls in device manager - one of which is a network adapter which
also appears to be my broadband connection.

When I put the new drive in with the fresh XP install I have 2x "1394
Connections" - both saying enabled..But I can't get either of them to
recognise by b/band connection. What I now apper to be missing is the
NVIDIA nforce MCP Networking Controller...

Help...I have looked at Nvidia website etc.. Are these extra drivers
that should have come with my original system. I also have a
Soundblaster Audigy CD to install on the new HD but really didn't want
to do anything else until I got the new up and running...

Any clues, tips or direction appreciated.

Thanks

Ged

Hi Ged,

Open up the case and record the model version of your motherboard, then
check the motherboards manufacturers website, you will beable to find all the
original drivers from there.
