Maintain Hyperlink in Email

How can I maintain a hyperlink in One Word document to another when emailing?
 
one possible approach:

Put both documents in the same folder. Set the hyperlinks--make sure
they are relative to the folder, not absolute using the hard drive name
or anything. Zip the folder. Send the zipped file as an attachment.
