Mailemerge attachments Windows server 2003

We rune Windows Server 2003 and had no trouble sending a mailmerge from
Outlook 2003 with attachments. Since we upgraded to Office 2007 there seems
no facility to do this. I can't how upgrading to Server 2007 would fix this?
Why is Microsoft going backwards?

Contrary to your post, Outlook has never supported attachments with a mail
merge in any version. Doing so requires third party software.

My apologies - apparently we previously inserted files as objects.
Nonetheless, it does seem bizarre that Microsoft don't enable this facility
when so many clearly need it.
Thanks

That's what we've said too. Apparently, they are more than happy to cede
these functions to third party purveyors.
