Mailbox permissions

If you grant permissions on the mailbox or any folder, these permissions are
inherited on new folders.
In my company it has been normal practice to grant review permission on the
mailbox itself and review permission on the calendar. This way it has been
possible to make a permanent link to the users mailbox and thereby have easy
access to the calendar.
The downside to this is that the users have not been aware that the
permissions are inherited to new folders and thereby mails be visible to
other users!
Q#1: Is there any way we centrally (from Exchange or AD) can clear all
permissions set by the user?
Q#2: Is there any way we can have the same functionality of easy access to
another users calendar without granting access on the mailbox (Outlook 2002)
Q#3: Can we disable the inherit functionality from the Mailbox level?

We runn in a mixed Exch 5.5/2003 environment and Outlook 2002 with a plan to
upgrade to 2003 in some months.

Any advice is very welcome

Thanks Sue!
#1) I will take a close look at the tools
#2) This does not solve the issue. Only granting access on the folder level
does not give the possibility to have a shortcut to the folder. Outlook does
show the last 10 but can we somehow make permanent shortcuts to a folderlevel
like the Calendar?

Thanks

Klaus

Yes, on the root of the mailbox set Folder Visible permissions and the
desired permissions on the Calendar.

1) See http://www.slipstick.com/exs/permissions.htm#tools for tools to
help
with this.

2) Grant access at the folder level, not the mailbox.

3) No.
