Mail sending from word directly

Directly from word, excel or a feed back form from any other site(Without
outlook in open condititon), when I try to mail, the msg goes and sits in the
outbox of outlook! Only when I open outlook the msg gets send. Why? Can it
not leave automatically? If I forget to open the outlook, the msg stays there
till the next day.

Because that's the way it works.

Can it not leave automatically? If I forget to
open the outlook, the msg stays there till the next day.

Outlook must be running in order for it to send your messages.
