MAIL Receiving and Sending working through one ISA server but not with another ISA server

The following error occurs:

Task 'Account Name - recieving' reported error (0x800ccc0f): " The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues,
contact your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP)."

I have 2 ISA Servers in my environment, both work independently with
two seperate ISPs. When i try to send/recieve email by configuring the
firewall client to the 1st ISA server everything goes well no issues.
But once i switch to the other ISA server the above error occurs.

Testing account settings fails as well for both sending and recieving.
I ve tried disabling antivirus checks and also tried adding the
symantec antivirus to the Windows firewall. I ve tried creating a new
profile but to no avail.

The strange part is that everything is fine through the first ISA
server. I have checked the packet filters as well and there are no
blockages of smtp or pop3 and in fact both the ISA servers are
absolutely identical when it comes to configuration. I also tried
creating packet filters for SMTP/POP3 on the second ISA server but no
success. Could there be a problem with some restriction at the ISP end?
I have also tried using the ISPs SMTP to send email but no success.

I have to get rid of the first server soon and I want to get some help
on what I m missing or what could be the problem. Is it soemthing
related to ISA server because thats what it seems.

Please guide. THANKS.

Can you telnet to your POP3 server (over port 110) via the new/second ISA
server?
