mail merge

I am trying to do mail merge with word and want to access my contacts in
outlook I have done this many times before with out any problems. Now when I
try I keep getting a pop up window "Data Link Properties" I get an error
message "This operation cannot be complete because of dialog or database
engine failures. Please try again later" I am not sure how to bypass this.
I have never seen this happen before. Anyone have any suggestions?

Can you start a Mail Merge from within Outlook? Select the Contacts folder
and choose Tools-> Mail Merge... The initial dialog is different but then it
should start Word and you'll have the same Mail Merge options.

This did not work when I go to Outlook and do the mail merge I choose edit
document and it is just a blank document. When I close the doc it asks me if
I want to save as if the labels are there. I also created a new list still
didn't work. Help I need to print my Xmas labels.
