Mail in Inbox disappears

I have a strange problem with Outlook 2003 sp2

Every 2/3 hours or so the mail in the inbox disappears. You can see the mail
disappear. Like somebody is deleting it manualy. Only one user has this
problem.
I found out that the mail can be recovered with the "Recover deleted items"
option. So some how the mail is deleted the hard way (shift+delete).

I already asked the user to scan his pc for virusses (Symantec), but the
virusscanner found nothing.

Has anybody heard of this problem before?

Check the permissions on both server and client level for this mailbox. You
can revoke them for troubleshooting purposes to make sure that the user is
the only one with access to it. Also is this mailbox being monitored from
more than one location? For instance can the user also access his mailbox
from home? If so; through what method?
