We have outlook 2003 and exchange 2003 on SBS 2003. Both are on the latest
SP. When e-mails comes in, Outlook flashes the message by the system tray
with the sender and subject of the message (notification). However, when
attempting to read the e-mail, it is no where to be found. we use SPAMbaye
on the workstations (very small company that have 5 users). i've uninstalled
SPAMbaye but same result. I can't find it in Deleted Items, or SPAMS or
JunkMails folders.

I can tracked the messages within Exchange server and shows it was delivered
locally but can't figure out where and what happened to those e-mails.

Thanks,
steve Louie

Is there a filter on the view of the Inbox? Is it set to read new messages
instead of all? If Autopreview is on and email is set to be marked as read in
X seconds, this could be the culprit.

Alternatively, are there rules in place or are the emails ending up in the
Junk Mail folder?

Are messages being sent to Personal Folders? I had the same problem and found
that mail was going to the user's .pst. In Outlook, look in Tools, Email
Accounts, choose View or Change Existing Email Accounts, and see what's
listed under "Deliver new e-mail to the following location:"
