Mail disappears.

When I open my Inbox, its says receiving mail, and I can see some emails come
and then disappear. It states 5 new mails received, however there only is 2
new mail in the inbox. Where are the other emails going?
 
Deleted Items, perhaps?

How many Message Rules are active? How many Blocked Senders in the list?
 
Have you looked in the Junk E-mail and Deleted Items folders?
