Magnifier

My IBM Thinkpad has a magnifier shortcut key (function key + spacebar).
Sometimes I use the magnifier to enlarge my window when I find the text a bit
too small to read, and I toggle back when I don't need the feature.
Yesterday I used the magnifier to enlarge my window. After a few hours of
using the magnifier, the feature stayed on permanently and I couldn't switch
back to the regular size window no matter how much I toggle the shortcut key.

I tried the accessibility features but somehow I don't think I'm doing the
right thing. Can anyone help?

While I can see nothing wrong with starting/stopping Magnifier using its
own controls, if the Function key is stuck that solution won't go very far.
However, I would access Magnifier separately from the Accessibility control
panel. Start> (All) Programs> Accessibility> Magnifier.

Other thoughts:

Did you try restarting the computer? A complete power down, rest and then
startup might be necessary.

For a while, there was a rash of the Windows key getting "stuck." One of
the workarounds was to tap it a few times in succession. Might work with
the Function key.
