How do I turn it OFF?

I've found out how to turn ON the Magnifier. But I can't find out how to
turn it OFF.

Also, somewhere in the process, I've changed the appearance of my font here
in Windows Live Mail's Reading Pane. It's still Courier New, I guess, and
still Western European coding. But it looks very thin and washed-out and
very hard to read.

I've tried many tricks but none of them worked. I've rebooted several
times, including a complete power-down. And I've done a System Restore,
which at least got rid of the 120 DPI that I turned on, trying to improve
the readability. I've been to the web pages
(http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsvista/default.aspx, for
example), but they just duplicate what I see elsewhere. Is the
washed-out-font a "feature" of accessibility, or is it unrelated to the
Magnifier?

I'm not visually handicapped, fortunately, so I don't normally come to this
newsgroup. But someone in the Vista.general newsgroup asked about the
Magnifier. Trying to find out how to help, I easily figured out how to turn
it ON. But now I see the dilemma: There are NO instructions that I can
find for how to turn it OFF!

What am I missing?

You do not get a small window with an Exit button? Once activated
check the Taskbar for the Magnifier and rightclick and click Close.

Hi, Byte.

NOW I see that on the Taskbar! Where was it this morning? I looked all
over for something and never found it. :>( I'm using Vista, so it might be
different from WinXP.

But I found the answer,,, finally, with help from another MVP. Back on the
Ease of Access page, under Make the computer easier to see, I found the
checkbox, unchecked it and Applied it.

(And my font problem was because somehow Clear Type got turned off. In
Vista, it's ON by default.)

Thanks for the tip.
