Magic Spin DVD RW 8x

does anyone know the web site for Magic spin DVD burners? A friend got one
on e-bay and I can not find any support for it. No firmware or
compatibility forums. Its supposed to be a 8X burner. DVD Xcopy will "back
up" some DVD's but then it will blue screen on others.
