MAD DOG DVD-ROM problem in XP

CD/DVD-ROM: Entertainer MD-ED16E DVD-ROM.

XP displays only one file, "track00.cba" for DVD movie,
data CD, and Audio
CD, which is actually not readable. The DVD drive is
working properly
according to XP device manager.

The DVD-ROM works fine under Win 98 SE with Celeron 466
Meg computer.

The DVD-ROM works fine under Dell Diagonise program,
runnning outside
Windows XP with Dell Demention 4600 (2.4G) computer. So I
am sure that
the DVD-ROM is good, and the hardware installation is good.

Tried Regedit (Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 320553)
Removed "REG_MULTI_SZ data type UpperFilters" and
"REG_MULTI_SZ data type LowerFilters"

Tried to uninstall the driver, and let XP to reinstall it.
Both didn't
work.

Suggested by MAD DOG support to install Intel(r)
Application Accelerator.
Tried to download Intel(r) Application Accelerator but it
didn't allow
me to install due to "Incompatible hardware". This is
Dimension 4600,
Intel 865PE chipset. Other info:

Chipset: Intel (R) 865 chipset family
Chipset Components: 82865G/P/PE or 82848P
I/O Controller: 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R), SATA and PATA
enabled
Integrated Graphics: Not Detected or Disabled

I have ATI All in Wonder 9000 graphics card.

Is there a driver for this DVD-ROM? Any fix?

Thanks.

The Mad Dog brand spells trouble, regardless of which product it is. I
suggest you pack it up and return it to where it was purchased. As the name
implies, Mad Dog is a "dog". I know, from experience. Spend a little more
and get something that works.
