MACROMEDIA FLASH PLAYER

I have Windows98, IE6 & Macromedia Flash Player8. I do
not like all the flashing & blinking. Is there any way I
can turn Flash Player off or do I have to uninstall it? A
lot of the blinking on a web page can be turned off by
simply clicking on the stop button, but this doesn't stop
everything.

I just figured out that I can post this reply to say THANK
YOU. I downloaded and installed SPYWAREBLASTER. Also
downloaded and installed updates. Also checked the box to
disable SHOCKWAVE. I really like that. Am also using all
the other features. Anyway THANKS again.
