macro does not work during slide show

I am using powerpoint 2002. I want to move a gif around
the page during a slideshow. The macro works when I run it
in normal view but not when I click on it during the
slideshow. I have used action settings to assign the macro
to work on mouse click. I also assigned a sound to work n
mouse click. The sound happens but the gif does not move.
