I have a "button" that I created and assigned a macro to. I no longer needed the macro or the button, so I deleted the macro but can not find ANY way to get rid of the button. Any help?

Where is the button, and what kind of button is it ? What happens when you rightclick it ?

Best wishes Harald

The button (or maybe an "object" that I named and assigned the macro to) floats on top of cells on one of my worksheets. When I right-click on it, nothing happens and no pop-up menu appears. I also looked at all the commands /subcommands up top (file, edit, etc) and nothing is blackened to help (i.e. a delete). I can not drag the button around. If I delete the rows/columns where it floats, it just reappears in the same relative position of the new rows/columns.

The Button....
Adding and modifying buttons can be done while in Tools/Customize menus. You
can right click the button then for your options, or just drag it off the
toolbar (or whereever)

Harald knows his stuff, asking the right questions...

Try Edit/GoTo/Special/Objects

Delete.

Is your sheet protected?

Beege, I went to tools/customize as you suggested and then tried to right
click the button on my worksheet (not toolbar),nothing, then tried to drag
it and nothing, Thanks but this did not work.

Bring up the Control Box Toolbar by right-click on a toolbar and select.

Hit the Design Mode Icon.

You should now be able to right-click on the "button" and Edit>Clear>All

Close the Control Box Toolbar.

Beege, I tried Edit/GoTo/Special/Objects while in the worksheet where the
button/object is and it said it could not find any objects. Not sure
whether the sheet is protected, how do you tell (or do I need to know if the
try above found no objects?)?

Thanks but any more suggestions?
