Problem Assigning Macro to Button

I created a new toolbar in Excel 2003 and assigned macros to three
buttons. I opened Excel today and one of the buttons was missing so I
added it back and attempted to assign the macro to it. When I click
that button it only opens the macro window and the macro will not run
from that window. It will run from a regular macro window through the
normal menus. The macro will not assign to the button. Can anyone help
solve this problem? Could it be due to the fact that I had previously
assigned that macro to a button?

The problem is these macros are used to format and transfer data from
email attachments that I receive each week which are not going to
contain any code. Others are used to open delimited text files and
format them so the worksheet is of use. I neither case is the file I'm
working with going to have the code within a module. I guess the other
way would be to just open a file with Excel that has the macro in it.

Yep.

Keep one workbook that has all the code that you use for this kind of thing.
Then you can either store it in your XLStart folder so that it opens each time
you open excel--or you could just open it when you you need it.

I'd save the file as an addin (RobsUtils.xla). Then I'd have a third
choice--install it (or deinstall it) via Tools|Addins.
