I have started having a problem with iTunes (latest version) after many
months of using it hassle-free. When I launch the program nothing happens
for a while until I get a BSOD with the MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION message STOP:
0x0000009c (0x00000004, 0x80545FF0, 0xB2000000, 0x0007F0F).

I have several other media players (Windows Media Plare Player 10, Real
Player, Media Monkey) and all function well. Both the DVD player and the CD
player seem to be working normally. I ran a Windows Memory Diagnostic and it
reported no errors. I have the latest drivers for both the sound card and
the video card. Restoring the system to an earlier date did not fix the
problem. I cleaned the registry (RegCleaner and EasyCleaner) and removed any
spyware (Ad-Aware and Spybot-Search and Destroy) but that didn't help either.

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes (including an earlier version) and
uninstalling all new recently added software didn't do anything.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
