Machine Keeps Re-Booting

I'm gettting ready to delve into a Sony desktop that is
not booting up and would appreciate any suggestion as to
possible causes.

The machine is running XP Home Edition.
On power-up, the machine gets to the screen where Windows
XP Home Edition is displayed with the scroll bar beneath
it. At this point the machine reboots.
I've tried the following with no success:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration
Debugging Mode
All reboot.
