Machine Debug Manager Problem

B

btkramer

My machine has been hanging when trying to open certain
processes like IE, User Accounts, and Services, taking 4+
Minutes to open them, and I finally isolated the problem.
Machine Debug Manager. Through trial and error, I
selectively started services until I found I could run
every service but MDM and not have a problem, and run no
services but MDM and have the problem. What could be
wrong? Another strange thing: msconfig lists Machine
Debug Manager's manufacturer as 'unknown'. Shouldn't it
be Microsoft? Could this service be corrupt? Is it
essential? What could have caused this? Can it be
reinstalled? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi,

Safe to leave it disabled, it normally comes with MSOffice and is not
essential (in older versions of Office, MDM was a major pain in the neck).
