Ugly Trick

The Mac originally had a 2 GB hard drive on it. I replace that one with a 9
GB hard drive. I can get it to boot up with the OS 9 installation, but the
hard drive will not stay mounted. I have to remount the thing each and every
time I turn it on. Help!
Does anyone know where I can go to download and make a floppy boot disk?

Pray for guidance, then repost in a Mac newsgroup.

Though you should post to a MAC group of course...
I just happen to own a few old MACs and am familair with OS9

You do not need a boot floppy...
once you boot with your OS9 cd
you then need to install it on the HD.

Once OS9 is installed, you can remove the CD
and the operating system should just boot from the HD.

Since I have not installed OS9 in a while
I don't recall all the details...
so if you have questions about the installation...
you really need to post on a MAC group

or else ask here

What's OS 9?

Its' MAC's operating system that was used prior to OS-X

It's obsolete...but there is a version of Firefox that will allow it to
render most
of today's websites...so there are still a few MAC users that have it.

OS-X will not run on any of the older MAC machines
