In the Mac OS you can select multiple files and get info to reveal the
total size of the group. WHAT equivalent is ther for Windows XP???
Using properties gives me an error total of zero.

Is there an add on like this one for Win shell?

I use XP sp 2 and properties shows a total of the selected files.

Selecting the files, right-clicking on one of them, and choosing Properties
works for me here.

Also, in the Explorer status bar, when you select files it tells you the
total size of the selected files. It's on the right-hand side.

I was looking everywhere else and ther it is in the side bar. Thanks!!

I found the sidebar and tried this, but it does not show total size
when in the search window. Right click + Properties works fine in a
normal directory, but this does not work for a SEARCH window.

What is SP2?

It's because you are not selecting like items. If you select only files then it works as it should. The most common other item are files in zip archives.

Then thats it. There were zip files included in the search. Thanks all
for the help for my marginal Mac ass. x
