Lst SP2

I recieved that icon on my task bar yesterday stating
that there were Win Updates ready to be installed.

I did not have an opportunity to install them last
night. This morning, the icon was still there. I opened
it, it was SP2, clicked on install, I think the next page
was to accept the license, which I did. Then that window
closed and nothing happened.

I have checked and SP1 is installed, but no SP2.

What do I do ?

SP2 isn't available yet for a standalone computer, only
for a network.

It is a huge download that would take a long time to
install even on a cable/DSL connection, so it looks as if
you didn't get it.

Keep checking http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ to see
if it's available.

A standalone computer couldn't download SP2 anyway, since a stand
alone system is not connected to anything via LAN or phone. It stands
alone. The only way to upgrade it would be to download the full
install (266MB) from MS, burn it on a CD and then run it on the stand
alone.

So, I guess, you are wrong. Since the full install version is
availble (has been for a couple of weeks) then SP2 IS available for
the "stand alone" computer.
