System File Checker Problem

J

Jennifer W

Hi,

I was previously advised here to run System File Checker for my Windows XP
Pro system.

I did and it's asking me for a Win XP install disc with SP2. I installed
SP2 via internet. I did put an SP2 disc in and it will not accept it.

Is there anything else I can do ?

Thanks, Jen

Does your original Windows XP CD incorporate the SP2. If the answer is
No you will need to slipstream your original CD and an SP2 CD to produce
a CD combining both. You can use any SP2 CD. These were freely issued
by Microsoft in 2004. Many people having older computers have them.
