lssas.exe and lovegate.f

1. I have the lovegate.f virus called ravmond.exe and I
need to remove it but for some reason everytime I boot up
my computer, it crashes within the next couple minutes.
This happens in one of two ways. (1) lssas.exe error that
reboots the computer after 60 secs. or (2) the computer
stays on for a couple minutes and then suddenly a blue
screen flashes so fast that i cant even read it and the
computer just reboots.

I was reading on some other tech support site that the
lssas.exe error can be fixed by downloading Windows 2000
SP2. However, my computer will not stay on long enough to
even get online.

What do i do???

Greetings,

Have you got an AV package and a firewall?

Depending on which AV you have, access the internet on
another computer and download the removal tool for your AV
on a boot floppy, if possible. Also, print off the
instructions for it's use and for the virus in general.

Boot your computer from a boot floppy and then run the
removal tool - either from the boot floppy or a second
floppy. (You may or may not need your OS's install CD to
boot.)

Once this has been done, boot your system as normal (C
drive) and then connect to your AV's website and download
the latest update(s).

Set your AV for a FULL SYSTEM SCAN (ALL FILES) and do that.

Also, if you haven't got one, get a firewall! If this is a
business computer, your employer's IT people should sort
you out.

Kindest regards,

James
