hi can anyone help?
one day i turned on my windows xp (sp2) computer and it would not boot
up.
instead, a few seconds into the main windows splash screen a dialog box
pops up:
at the top bar: "lsass.exe Operation Failed"
in the box: "the requested operation was unsuccessful."
only one choice can be made. You click on the ok button whereafter
the
computer reboots and repeats the above cycle.
i don't want to lose the files on the hard drive.
i am unable to reboot into safemode by pressing f8.
the supplied oem recovery disks are for reformatting the computer
only!
i'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of this, or knows of a fix.
